- Ben Fuller Review added: 2018.09.23★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆Staff were friendly, and the hotel is clean, but the hotel in general is in need of some refurbishment. I stayed in an executive suite but there are no lifts to these rooms instead leaving you to 3 flights of stairs. In the executive suite, there were two service hatchways to largish pipe areas in the walls and the doors to which wouldn't stay shut. This doesn't really lend itself to a nice feeling about the room and would be an easy fix. It may even freak out some of the more timid guests. The bathroom was nice with a good shower but the toilet was butted up to the wall and radiator so you had to sit at an angle, a fairly big issue when they have installed a square shaped pan. I can only imagine this would be more uncomfortable if the radiator was on. The wooden window in the bathroom did not close properly and the window in the main room was facing the main road and offered no sound protection from the M1 or main road outside. Also my room was not a proper double bed as advertised but two singles linked together. Not particularly what was advertised.
